The night was filled ​with a delightful mix of activities, ​including bowling, arcade games, ​and pizza. To top it all off, there ​were fantastic prizes up for grabs, ​adding an extra layer of excitement ​to the evening.

Members and guests of the Social ​Light Business Club had the chance ​to connect in a fun and relaxed ​setting, creating new friendships ​and strengthening existing ones. ​The vibrant energy of the ​trampoline park provided the ​perfect backdrop for networking, ​allowing everyone to let loose and ​enjoy themselves.

This year’s A La Mode Suit Drive began with an exceptional celebration at Legends in Fitchburg, highlighting our mission to gather professional attire for those in need.

The elegant soiree at Legends was a spectacular blend of networking and philanthropy. The night marked the successful launch of our second annual suit drive, with over 100 items collected in the first month alone. Each suit, tie, and pair of shoes represents a step toward empowering individuals and boosting their confidence.

Samuel Nieves Jr., Founder and CEO of SLBC, spearheads this initiative with a vision of fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for professionals. The A La Mode Suit Drive, which has already collected over 400 items in the past year, is a testament to our community's generosity and commitment to making a positive impact.

A Meeting With A Mission

This year's Social Light Business Club's annual suit drive is well underway, demonstrating once again the community's spirit and dedication to giving back. In a recent heartwarming meet-up, SLBC was thrilled to connect with Veronica, representing the Leaders of Restoration; Peer Support and Training Center of Fitchburg MA. This meeting highlighted a key moment for our drive as we donated a portion of the professional attire we have collected thus far.

The suit drive, part of SLBC’s broader mission to support local communities and foster professional development, aims to collect and donate business attire to those in need. The initiative not only helps individuals prepare for the job market but also boosts confidence and promotes a sense of community.

Veronica and her team at Leaders of Restoration were grateful for the contribution, which will directly benefit their clients who are preparing to re-enter the workforce or upgrade their professional presence. The donated attire includes a range of suits, slacks, collared shirts and other professional garments, collected and curated by the dedicated members of SLBC.

As we move forward, the drive continues to gain momentum, and we are actively seeking more donations and support. SLBC is committed to making a substantial impact through this initiative and is looking for more individuals and organizations to join in our efforts. The support from the community has been inspiring, and every donation brings us one step closer to making a significant difference in someone’s life.

The First Annual Speakeasy Soiree

The air was filled with anticipation and excitement as guests arrived at Tavern 13 for an evening of glamour and revelry. The Speakeasy Soiree, organized by the Social Light Business Club, promised an unforgettable experience, and it did not disappoint!

The evening began with a whiskey tasting, featuring an exquisite selection of whiskeys from New England. Guests savored the rich flavors and aromas, setting the tone for a night of indulgence. The tavern, transformed by POP! by Posh into a 1920s speakeasy, exuded an aura of mystery and glamour.

Twisted Vine Events had the dance floor alive. The energy was infectious, and soon the entire room was swept up in the rhythm of the music.

As the night progressed, Grillmann Barbecue delighted guests with an array of culinary delights. The food was nothing short of amazing, tantalizing taste buds and satisfying appetites.

What truly made the evening unforgettable was how guests fully embraced the theme of the roaring '20s. Dressed in glamorous flapper dresses and sharp suits, they looked like they had stepped right out of Gatsby.

Their journey through the innovative firm was expertly guided by SLBC members Jamie, Ashley, and their delightful canine companion, Ru.

As they stepped into the heart of [Re] Architect's workspace, the trio immediately sensed an atmosphere teeming with fervor for sustainability. Within those walls, every detail spoke volumes about the firm's creativity and innovation . The space, artfully repurposed to echo the ethos of reuse, recycling, and repurposing championed by the firm. The tangible passion for sustainable design permeated the air, leaving an indelible mark on Samuel, Heidi, and Ken.

Beyond mere aesthetics. From the conceptualization stage to the final execution, every aspect of their projects was meticulously crafted. The tour encompassed a diverse array of projects, each exemplifying [Re] Architect's eye for excellence.

In the world of fashion, "A La Mode" signifies style and trendiness. But for us at the Social Light Business Club, it symbolizes much more—our commitment to giving back and supporting those in need.

Last year, we launched the "A La Mode" initiative, led by me, club founder Samuel Nieves Jr., with a mission close to my heart. We collected suits and professional attire for entrepreneurs and individuals, ensuring those in need could access them. Thanks to our members and supporters, over 300 items were donated, making a significant impact.

This year, we're expanding our efforts. Drop-off stations at local businesses throughout our region make it easier to donate gently used and new men's professional attire.

Donation boxes will be placed throughout our region from now to May 22. Your contributions will make a meaningful impact on our community.
